About Our Los Angeles Brand Video Production:

This Los Angeles brand video production with Wikipedia and Paramount Network’s American Woman marks our second production with NowThis Media . Shot at Nueuehouse in Hollywood, this production was nominated for a Shorty Award in 2018 amongst other very prestigious nominees. The Shorty Awards honor the best people and organizations on social media every year, culminating in a blockbuster ceremony in New York City.

Wikipedia and Paramount Network’s American Woman teamed up with NowThis to launch a female-driven edit-a-thon on Wikipedia, an effort in response to the revelation that 16% of editors on the open-source encyclopedia identify as women. This brand video production features the drama’s co-executive producer Kyle Richards, star actor Jennifer Bartels, and cast.

Our Los Angeles brand video production team at Tiger House Films worked with Director Alyssa Kurtzman and Producer Sylvie Krekow to shoot the event put on by NowThis to highlight women’s empowerment. With two Sony Fs7’s our director of photography was able to cover interviews intercut with b-roll of the event taking place, emphasizing coverage of the interactions between these hand picked women with fascinating backgrounds.

This Los Angeles brand video production was partnered with Paramount Network’s American Woman starring Alicia Silverstone, Mena Suvari, and Jennifer Bartels. This new half-hour series is inspired by the real-life upbringing of co-executive producer Kyle Richards (also interviewed in our brand video production). “American Woman” follows Bonnie (Silverstone) an unconventional mother struggling to raise her two daughters after leaving her husband amid the rise of second-wave feminism in the 70s.  With the help of her two best friends, Kathleen (Suvari) and Diana (Bartels), these three women each discover their own brand of independence in a glamorous and ever-changing world reluctant to give it.

About Our Istanbul Fashion Fest 2016 Official Selection

Our fashion brand film entitled “Only Ones” created for high end women’s fashion designer Emily Daccarett, has been selected to screen at the Istanbul Fashion Festival on Nov.27th, 2016. The Istanbul Fashion Fest is Istanbul’s one and only fashion film festival showcasing a selection of works from across the globe, presenting an international competition, talks, masterclasses, lectures, workshops and parties. The festival is sponsored by ELLE Türkiye and Mercedes-Benz among others.

The fashion brand film “Only Ones” was directed by Tiger House Films founder Jason Kent Carpenter and is our 5th collaboration with high end women’s fashion brand Emily Daccarett.  Her Spring / Summer 2016 line had a classic Southern California surfer/skater theme mixed with high end luxury fabrics and bright colors. Our motivation to create this film was Malibu and Venice Beach surfer culture in the 1970’s where being free and expressive was a part of the iconic backdrop of the era.

This film was shot over two days in multiple locations including the iconic Gesner Beach House, built by famed Malibu architect Harry Gesner whose designs are found in many Southern California locations including the Getty Museum. Our cinematography for the project included surfing scenes with underwater camera work, car mount shots,  as well as skating shots captured on steadicam. While technically challenging, our team was able to create a story and aesthetic matching the original concept of Emily’s SS16 collection.

We are lucky to have a long standing relationship with womenswear brand Emily Daccarett and we look forward to our next fashion film collaboration in the near future. Dynamic creative collaborations with designers and brands are the reason Tiger House Films is able to thrive in a complex global industry.

Tiger House Films has once again teamed with the GRAMMY office to bring you a live performance video by platinum selling artist Lyfe Jennings. During our live performance video production coverage at Smidi Music in Venice, CA, Lyfe performed a “GRAMMY Re-Imagined” cover of Michael Jackson’s hit song “Human Nature”. He also performed his new hit single “Boomerang” now in stores and on iTunes. Lastly, Lyfe gave a short interview following his performances.

As stated on the GRAMMY website, the vision behind this series is to “Link GRAMMY history with current music makers. ReImagined is a performance-based series featuring artists interpreting an iconic GRAMMY-winning song and performances of original music.”

The passion and conviction portrayed through Lyfe’s voice in both performances during our live video production were indicative of the amount of hard times this artist has been through. Born Chester Jennings in Toledo, Ohio, Jennings’ career began in 2004 with the release of his debut studio album, Lyfe 268-192. The album title refers to the singer’s inmate number while serving a 10-year prison term in Ohio. Later on, he conceived ideas for his upcoming album Lucid while serving another prison sentence from 2010-2012.

Our video production team had a pleasant experience recording Lyfe for this GRAMMY live performance video. His talent was apparent as soon as he began to sing into the microphone and it gave us a truly impressive impression of him as an individual. He was cordial and very professional. Having worked with GRAMMY video content producer Ben Lamb in the past, this was our first live performance shoot with him for the GRAMMY’s Re-Imagined series. Our work on this live performance video is still trending at #1 on the grammy.com website and has been for several days before this article was written.

About This Fashion Video Production:

Los Angeles Production Company Tiger House Films has teamed with women’s fashion designer Emily Daccarett to create a conceptual narrative fashion video production showcasing her latest designs in women’s clothing. The artistic fashion video concept will be screened and showcased at her L.A. fashion week show this coming October. Emily is a graduate of a Parisian fashion school, the prestigious Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, founded in 1928. The Federation in which the school lives, is responsible for setting the dates and location of the French fashion weeks. It also establishes industry standards on quality and on the use of the word “haute couture”.

Tiger House Films has contracted American Film Institute graduate and cinematographer Sara Ross-Samko as well as Director and Cinematographer Nicola Pizzi to spearhead the creative aspects of this fashion video production. During the pre-production process, our team has been working closely with Emily to create a video that not only showcases her fashion but also tells a story inspired by the real-life love between French singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg and English actress, Jane Birkin.

During our location scout to a 1960’s style diner and motel, our LA production team had the privilege to view and take photos of some very rare vintage American cars from the 50’s and 60’s as well as a genuine 60’s era diner location that our fashion video production team will be utilizing as an interior and exterior location for the shoot. Professional and creative productions such as this are the reason Tiger House Films has become a proven leader not only in commercial production, but also in the artistic and creative realm of the entertainment industry.

Our LA production team is looking forward to the collaboration between our passion for film and Emily’s talent in creating dresses for the fashion world. Principal photography on this narrative fashion video production will begin in early September 2013.

Los Angeles production company Tiger House Films has filmed a TV Land comedy web video production with Kelly Stables, star of the CBS show The Exes. The comedic web video production directed by Ben Lamb, portrays Kelly’s unique version of The Exes theme song, complete with bright red keytar and dramatic modelesque poses. Besides being a great person, Kelly is a very talented actress and a funny one at that, with great comedic timing.

Kelly’s show The Exes is an American comedy tv series starring Donald Faison, Kristen Johnson, Wayne Knight, David Alan Basche and Kelly. It debuted on TV Land on November 30, 2011, and airs on Wednesday nights at 10:30 PM. It is currently in it’s third season on the CBS network.

Los Angeles film and video production company Tiger House Films has teamed with the GRAMMY Office to cover an interview with UK recording artist, Daley for an installment of the Recording Academy’s 5 Questions With… Series. GRAMMY video content producer Ben Lamb and Tiger House Films founder Jason Kent Carpenter worked together on set with the the Tiger House Films video production team to create a cinematic interview environment at the legendary East West Studios in Hollywood California.

This was a particularly fitting environment for a recording artist as talented as Daley. He showed great generosity toward the crew by agreeing to an impromptu performance which was certainly a thrill to record. Daley’s humble personality combined with his enormous ability to create profound music is the reason for the incredibly positive impression that stayed with all of us after the wrap.

As of today the video production is on the Grammy.com Homepage!

In 2012, Tiger House Films was approached to do a commercial video production for the clothing company Marena for their new line of sports wear called Athletics 8, due to launch the following month. Our entire production of the commercial video was shot in a large green-screen studio with extensive visual effects and illustrations being the key focus of the campaign.

Tiger House Films has an extensive knowledge of how video and visual effects mesh together to create a seamless product. For instance we know that the format in which we shoot is very important as well as matching the lighting for the visual effects. For this reason, we worked extensively with a storyboard artist to previsualize the shoot.

Also working extensively with the Marena spokesperson for the campaign, we drew up a treatment that both fit their fun and lighthearted presentation of the sportswear, and showcased their product in the most technically sound and professional setting possible.

Our team of talented visual effects artists once again excelled and delivered a final product that left the people at Marena very satisfied. Our company came in under budget and on schedule for the Marena campaign launch due to superb planning and the ability to forsee any problems and fix them before hand. This is the reason large corporations have come to trust Tiger House Films to create their commercial video productions from beginning to end.

Tiger House Films covered a live performance video production for the local rock band Jeremy Buck and the Bang of Hermosa Beach CA. the video production here is just a portion of the performance that took place at club 705. The venue was a cool, exciting bar off of Pier avenue where locals often gather over the weekend. Our live performance video production also features the well known Japanese actor and singer Eisaku Yoshida.

Dubbed Tokyo Friday in honor of Yoshida’s performance with them that night, Jeremy and the Bang started off with a killer cover of “We Don’t Need No Education” off of Pink Floyd’s rock opera, The Wall. Our video production camera operators got right in there on the action, filming on stage and up close to the band using fast Zeiss prime lenses and a 5d Mark 2 pulling on the fly.

The band then performed several songs off of their new album “You are a Star”. included was the group’s single, “Just for One Night,” in conjunction with Yoshida and “River of Spokane”, a tribute to Spokane Washington, Jeremy Buck’s hometown. “Just For One Night” was picked up by Los Angeles rock radio station 100.3FM The Sound where it ranked #5 in the new music rotation, alongside Coldplay, Kings of Leon, and Green Day.

Domestically Jeremy Buck and the Bang has toured extensively with strong followings in the Midwest, Northwest, Southern California, and Tokyo, Japan. Eisaku Yoshida took the stage and performed several songs famous in Japan. Our live performance production camera crew dealt well with the crowd of fans gathered around the stage and were able to get stellar performance video and still shots of his live performance. Tiger House Films was contacted By Rob Holland, the CEO of Flagship Food Group to do a series of commercial video and still photography shoots for their upcoming media campaign. Mr. Holland’s goal was to replace all of the stock footage Flagship Food Group was currently using on their website with something that they could call their own media content. He was also interested in creating a narrative video containing the history of their company in order to communicate what they do.

Flagship Food Group chose Tiger House Films to produce their content due to our background in award winning narrative filmmaking. The Flagship wanted to tell their story in a profound way with a media campaign and create cinematic visuals to keep the audience engaged, therefore our company was a perfect partnership for the endeavor.

In the subsequent weeks the Tiger House Films team traveled with Flagship Food Group to Denver Colorado to shoot their commercial at an affiliate grocery store, then immediately to Indianapolis Indiana to shoot inside one of their 100,000sq. ft. storage warehouses.

Traveling with our in-house production equipment to these states, we were able to create professional, clean imagery while relying on our experience as filmmakers to create beautiful compositions that fit together seamlessly in a linear fashion in post production.

Using our knowledge and implementation of post production graphics, our multi-level commercial video campaign for Flagship Food Group showcased our videography as well as our still photography on a modern, exciting platform.

Our work with this large corporation was an incredible success due to our ability to listen to our clients and deliver what they want. We would like to thank Rob Holland and his staff for communicating with us clearly and also for being such a pleasure to work and travel with.
