Luxury golf apparel brand G/Fore approached us for an online shoe commercial production involving motion control robotics, using a robot mounted on a track to allow for greater flexibility in camera movement around each product. This technique gave the footage a look that feels like VFX, with impossibly smooth, precise movement, but everything was captured practically in-camera, giving the imagery a dynamic, tactile quality that pure CG simply can’t replicate.

We wanted to showcase all the macro details of each shoe, from stitching to texture to material finish, and the motion control system let us do that with total repeatability and precision across every angle. Shot over a single day, the production yielded multiple polished assets for G/Fore, all made possible by pairing cutting-edge robotic filming technology with an efficient, focused shoot schedule.
