Our Los Angeles production company was approached by social media giant NowThis to produce a series of hidden camera brand commercials for seafood restaurant chain Red Lobster, set in iconic Venice Beach, California. Shooting hidden camera content in a location as busy and unpredictable as Venice Beach brought a raw, high-stakes energy to the production, every take had to capture real, unscripted reactions from a massive crowd of tourists and locals, all without tipping anyone off to the cameras rolling nearby.

To pull it off, our team relied on multiple cameras, including robo cam technology and specially rigged stroller cams, along with a range of other concealment tricks to cover the action from every angle without being noticed by the crowd. This hidden camera campaign was part of a series of viral videos for Red Lobster featuring The Fast and the Furious celebrity Tyrese Gibson, and the raw authenticity of the format helped the videos land with genuine, crowd-sourced comedic impact.
