About Our Hidden Camera Commercial Production

This July, Tiger House Films was contacted by creative agency Bigblock Content to head the tech portion of two specialty hidden camera commercial production spots for the National Football League and Ticket Exchange in New Orleans, Louisiana. Our hidden camera team flew out with our gear to New Orleans where we were to shoot in the historic French Quarter. The premise of the production was to create two spots, each with an NFL Coach surprising super fans of their team with tickets to their games through NFL Ticket Exchange.

The first coach we worked with over the production was Sean Payton of the New Orleans Saints. The directors Vince and Josh represented by Bigblock, We were able to work with him to create genuine surprise in the fans, going as far as creating a subtle disguise with a hat and sunglasses while he snuck up on them. Due to the second coach being from out of state, we needed to shoot a separate location in the general vicinity of the first spot in the French Quarter while framing out the classically New Orleans landmarks and foliage in order to disguise the second spot as the NFL home state of our second talent.

Our hidden camera commercial production team set up in a hidden control room inside a historic location called La Trobe’s with two robo-cams operated independently by joystick. Overall we had 6 camera angles for each of the two hidden camera spots.

Due to New orleans being in the south of the United States, our commercial production did get the occasional summer showers during out shoot but we were lucky on our production day and were well prepared for the weather conditions. Our team immensely enjoyed the culture and history of NOLA and would be happy to shoot in the city once again hopefully very soon.

About Our Celebrity Hidden Camera Production

Our production team was approached by Nylon Magazine to create a celebrity prank hidden camera production with Game Of Thrones actress, Maisie Williams. With nearly 5 Million views on Youtube, the viral video was released just before the newest season of the wildly popular series, Games Of Thrones, hit HBO this May.

Maisie Williams plays the character Arya Stark in the American fantasy drama television series created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. It is an adaptation of A Song Of Ice And Fire, George R.R. Martin’s series of fantasy novels, the first of which is titled A Game Of Thrones. Maisie is an English actress who made her debut on this series. She has won several major awards for her role and also had a recurring role in Doctor Who as Ashildr in 2015. In addition to television, she made her feature film debut in the mystery The Falling, for which she won the London Film Critics’ Circle Award for Young Performer of the Year.

During our hidden camera production, our team set up robo cameras with two operators hidden in the back of a hobby shop (Aero Hobbies) in Santa Monica, California. Mirror boxes and other tricks were used to hide cameras around the store which had a lot of different hobby items on shelves, which allowed for easy concealment. B-roll was also taken of Maisie to set up the video before the unsuspecting patrons of the store came in to see her as the store clerk.

Our production company teamed with the good people at NYLON Magazine to bring this production to life, we are happy that it was a success in the world of viral videos and we look forward to working in conjunction with their team from New York again in the near future.

As one of the best Los Angeles hidden camera production companies, Tiger House Films was contracted by Mustache Agency NYC to produce for Khloe Kardashian’s show on FYI Network, called Kocktails With Khloe. Our team produced all technical aspects of the video, creating the video to promote Khloe’s show as viral web content. Tiger House Films worked in conjunction with a NYC creative team to shoot the one day hidden camera production.

Shot in Silverlake CA, we utilized a hidden camera production van, robo cams and wireless audio to achieve the look, and were able to capture authentic moments within the viral video. Hidden camera work has a very specific production workflow and our crew has many years of specific hidden camera expertise beneath their belt with celebrities and on major networks.

The most important part of hidden camera work is stealth and not giving away the premise of the video to the public. These crucial elements are preserved with very specific hidden camera equipment and pre-production planning by scouting the location, and preparing for any unforeseen variables.

The premise of this Los Angeles hidden camera production was to prank unsuspecting bar patrons by having Khloe come out from behind the bar and serve them drinks. The chosen location was a small bar in Silverlake, CA with modern decor. Due to the minimalist design of the bar location, our team had to work creatively to hide cameras around the bar at prime angles. The production went smoothly and we were able to record the necessary footage for a dynamic edit in post production, which was done in NYC.

It was a pleasure for the Tiger House Films team to have worked in conjunction with Mustache to make this production a success. We hope to create more hidden camera productions with them in the future.

On November 5th 2014, Tiger House Films was called to create a branded video production for the Lexus Running Of The Bulls campaign in Fontana, CA. This video showcases the brand new Lexus vehicle the 2015 RC F. Our production team had a phenomenal time using our cinematography and editing skills to produce what can only be described as an incredible, exciting performance capture experience with the powerful 2015 Lexus RC F.

This branded video production utilized various different camera mounts and shooting techniques to create the coverage necessary to capture these performance vehicles in action. Aerial drones were sent up in the air to allow for smooth shots designed to capture a sweeping view of the overall environment and to showcase the vastness of the Auto Club Speedway. As these vehicles were tested to their limits, our Los Angeles production company utilized camera car mounts on different angles of the vehicles to give an “in the action” point of view. There were two camera operators on the ground creating high production value material, handheld and with a 5 foot camera slider. This brand video production was shot both in slow motion and at 24 frames per second.

Every time our Los Angeles production company is called out to work with major clients such as Lexus it gives us another opportunity to showcase our work at the highest level of professionalism. About This AMC First Look Series With Echosmith:

Los Angeles production company Tiger House Films has created a branded video production with pop band Echosmith for AMC’s First Look Series sponsored by Glade and the GRAMMYS. This branded video production is currently showing on the big screen before feature films in select AMC theaters nationwide. Echosmith, performing their new single “Bright”, is a popular young band with an extremely positive outlook on life and music. The band is composed of four siblings: Graham, Sydney, Noah, and Jamie Sierota. Echosmith signed to Warner Bros. Records in May 2012 and has since gone platinum with their hit song “Cool Kids”.

The AMC First Look Series is a new entertainment marketing program from NCM (National CineMedia) which will give moviegoers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at recording artists and their creative process. Glade has signed on as the exclusive launch partner for the NCM program from its premiere through March 5, 2015. This new Glade brand creative will also feature a nod to music and inspiration through the GRAMMY brand. Our Los Angeles production company has worked extensively with some of the biggest brands in the commercial world and our success has allowed us to build relationships with these companies that come back to us time and again.

This branded video production was a multi-cam shoot with two separate elements. A performance piece by Echosmith and an interview style setup that allowed us to intercut their new hit “Bright” with their take on the message behind their music. Glade candles were placed throughout the branded video to allow for a more intimate feel and also hi-light the sponsor. All of our camera work and sound was shot within six hours of arrival at the studio and post production was also delivered on time through the GRAMMY office.

“Agent 6” a short film directed and produced by Jason Kent Carpenter and Los Angeles production company Tiger House Films, has been selected to premiere at the 15th Annual Playhouse West Film Festival in North Hollywood, California. The festival’s venue is the beautiful El Portal Theater, an art deco structure originally built in 1926.

The film is a fast paced secret agent thriller with stunning visuals and cool action sequences tied together with an incredible film score by composer Mark Griskey.

Premise: In the sci-fi thriller Source Code, a member of the military has an unusual out of body experience created by science: he has 8 minutes to relive a deadly train explosion over and over again, in an attempt to discover who is responsible.

Performances: Lead actor Jake Gyllenhaal displays a very believable performance as Captain Colter Stevens. Up In The Air actress Vera Farmiga navigates her role with ease, displaying a range of emotions as she serves as a primary contact for Stevens. Michelle Monaghan brings nothing new to the table with her always likeable girl-next-door performance, while Jeffrey Wright is compelling choice for a prominent scientist in the film.

Visuals: While audiences must re-live the same sequence of events in repeat, the visuals & special effects are slightly different each time, keeping it fresh and interesting. But overall, the visuals take a back seat to the story.

Story: Until the end, this sci-fi film’s premise is fairly plausible under some assumptions of scientific advancement. The ending (which we won’t disclose) stretches the plausibility a bit too much, leaving you with a satisfying film that just misses the mark, ever-so-slightly.

Tiger House Films founder/ director Jason Carpenter is currently profiled on the popular news site Ground Report. The article discusses his early film success with his short film Dark Roads.

Set in the 1970’s, Dark Roads tells the story of Paul Sansone (played by Calvin Weibe), a mob recruit who perilously falls in love with a Russian woman named Janie (played by Abigail McConnell) trafficked for the sex trade.

The film debuted at Young Cuts and was also screened in LA and New York as an official selection at the Bel-Air & Williamsburg International film festivals. Dark Roads employed professional stuntmen such as Eric Marche (known for work on big budget films such as Transformers), the special effects company Synapse FX, and armorers from ISS Prophouse who handled live ammunition from vintage handguns and a tommy gun.
