Tiger House Films has produced several fashion commercials and brand films for our client, Parfait Lingerie. This particular commercial production was produced in Hollywood CA, with America’s Next Top Model contestant Kortnie Coles at a home in Laurel Canyon. We have worked as a commercial video production team in conjunction with a still photography team many times in the past, and this particular fashion production we had the workflow down to a science, switching back and forth the with the photo team to capture our coverage.

Parfait Lingerie is a clothing brand with different styles of Lingerie meant to fit plus size models. Our commercial production team has had the unique opportunity to work with Parfait on many different occasions keeping all of our projects lightweight and mobile to accommodate the tight schedules during these shoots.

Utilizing minimal equipment means that our production team has to stay creative. We utilized minimal HMI lighting along with 4k camera gear to capture the imagery for this production, staying mostly handheld with slow, dynamic camera angles. The post production was finished in Adobe Premiere Pro for the picture cut and DaVinci Resolve for color correction.

In our 6th collaboration with lingerie brand Parfait,  Tiger House Films created a fashion film for their Autumn / Winter 2017 campaign. Our creative production team utilized natural daylight to create the mood for this campaign, allowing sun shadows to create patterns on our subjects. Fashion films for Parfait require our creative team to be light on our feet and seek aesthetic beauty in the shooting locations for the campaign therefore cinematography and movement are very often improvised from the knowledge and experience of our crew.

Our location for the AW17 Fashion Film was located in San Pedro, CA. The old Spanish revival residence had a charm to the exterior and interior decor. Our creative production team was able to utilize much of the furniture and practical items within the rooms to add production design elements and cinematic reflections to our final fashion video product.

Being a Los Angeles production company, we have access to many beautiful locations throughout Southern California and our team was able to provide several options to our clients before choosing to shoot in this home. Our director of photography Martin Moody has worked with Tiger House Films on high end fashion productions many times in the past and was able to bring his eye to this project.

We continue to support Parfait as an innovative brand, and look forward to many more video productions in the future.

About Our Istanbul Fashion Fest 2016 Official Selection

Our fashion brand film entitled “Only Ones” created for high end women’s fashion designer Emily Daccarett, has been selected to screen at the Istanbul Fashion Festival on Nov.27th, 2016. The Istanbul Fashion Fest is Istanbul’s one and only fashion film festival showcasing a selection of works from across the globe, presenting an international competition, talks, masterclasses, lectures, workshops and parties. The festival is sponsored by ELLE Türkiye and Mercedes-Benz among others.

The fashion brand film “Only Ones” was directed by Tiger House Films founder Jason Kent Carpenter and is our 5th collaboration with high end women’s fashion brand Emily Daccarett.  Her Spring / Summer 2016 line had a classic Southern California surfer/skater theme mixed with high end luxury fabrics and bright colors. Our motivation to create this film was Malibu and Venice Beach surfer culture in the 1970’s where being free and expressive was a part of the iconic backdrop of the era.

This film was shot over two days in multiple locations including the iconic Gesner Beach House, built by famed Malibu architect Harry Gesner whose designs are found in many Southern California locations including the Getty Museum. Our cinematography for the project included surfing scenes with underwater camera work, car mount shots,  as well as skating shots captured on steadicam. While technically challenging, our team was able to create a story and aesthetic matching the original concept of Emily’s SS16 collection.

We are lucky to have a long standing relationship with womenswear brand Emily Daccarett and we look forward to our next fashion film collaboration in the near future. Dynamic creative collaborations with designers and brands are the reason Tiger House Films is able to thrive in a complex global industry.

About This Fashion Film Production:

Lingerie brand Affinitas Intimates asked Tiger House Films to come back and create another set of fashion films for their Affinitas and Parfait lines of lingerie for Autumn / Winter 2016. The theme for this season was much more dramatic in terms of light and mood. Our goal as a production team was to create a play between darkness and light while at the same time making sure we were able to capture the feminine beauty of the model and the styles being showcased.

We shot this Affinitas AW16 fashion film at a beautiful modern home with a european flair in the Hollywood Hills, which was an ideal, private location with some famous neighbors. The Affinitas model for the day was Tika Camaj who was a great pleasure to work with. She was extremely comfortable in front of the camera and has a very professional understanding of how to work with video as well as stills.

The cinematographer on this project captured some stunning imagery of our model with another operator on B-cam. The setups were very quick and light equipment made it easy to move around the home and create different looks with available light. We look forward to keeping a working relationship with the Affinitas brand and are very happy with how these productions turned out.

About This Fashion Film Production:

The international lingerie brand Parfait by Affinitas Intimates requested for the Tiger House Films team to create this second of two fashion films for their Affinitas and Parfait lines of lingerie for Autumn / Winter 2016. This season’s aesthetic has a particularly dramatic look, having been influenced by the concept of interplay between darkness and light.

Our team was able to capture the look of this campaign by utilizing primarily natural daylight and shaping / diffusing the non-direct sunlight through sheers and heavy curtains. The Parfait model for this fashion film was Kortnie Coles who was, as always, a great professional model. Kortnie flew out to Los Angeles to be a part of this shoot from New York where she resides and is represented by Wilhelmina Modeling Agency.

The location used was a large private home in the middle of Beverly Hills. The beautiful decor included crystal chandeliers, French moulding, and some beautiful original art pieces. Because of the limited time span, our cinematographer Edward Tran was able to capture much of this imagery by being creative with locations and thinking on his feet. Tiger House Films looks forward to working with Affinitas Intimates again and we hope to keep delivering high quality fashion films for their seasonal designs.

About This Fashion Film Production:

In our 5th collaboration with high end women’s fashion brand Emily Daccarett, Tiger House Films created a fashion film for her Spring / Summer 2016 line. The theme for this season was a surfer/skater look mixed with high end luxury fabrics and bright colors. Our motivation to create this film was Emily’s view on Venice beach surfer culture in the 1970’s where being free and expressive was a part of the iconic backdrop of the era.

This fashion film was shot in Malibu, California in multiple locations including the famous Gesner Beach House off of Pacific Coast Highway. Our production team’s goal was to create a film shot with all natural light to allow for a high fashion but raw sporty aesthetic mixed with pink and orange afternoon sunsets.

Mike Mcmillin was the director of photography on this production. Hailing from Long Beach CA, Mike has a background in capturing surfer and skater culture through his lens and brought his experience to the table during our fashion film shoot. Kenny Zhao created the song / score for this film entitled “Only Ones”. This creative composer was incredibly in tune with our theme and was able to provide amazingly impactful music to our visuals while also providing vocals on his track.

We were once again very privileged to work with Emily Daccarett on her fashion film and had a great time putting this fashion film production together for her brand.

Tiger House Films has produced our fourth collaboration with high fashion designer Emily Daccarett in her 2015 Fall / Winter collection fashion film production. Emily’s beautiful all black and white collection was integrated into a fairytale concept for this film.

Our team focused on high fashion cinematography and steady movement to create the look for this film. D.P. Martin Moody was able to capture the look and feel of our script, getting creative with the resources we had during production. Dynamic locations and plot elements laid the foundation for our talented actors to live through their characters and bring a fairytale to life in this fashion film production. A brief synopsis of this fashion film’s story is below:

“In old world Europe, Sophie is a young woman who has been trapped and abused in a world of faded grandeur since she was a small child. Her once wealthy parents passed away when she was very small, leaving her to the care of her cruel aunt Margaret.

Forced to clean the dilapidated mansion every day and confined to her room, Sophie can only escape from her entrapment through her dreams. She remembers longingly of a boy she met in her childhood who with a simple gesture of kindness, stole her heart.”

This fashion film production was shot over the course of two days in the Los Angeles area. Our stellar team was able to come together and execute the production under a strict deadline. As always, it was a very creative process working with Emily Daccarett and we have been very lucky to have her as a client over the past two years. We hope to bring future film productions to the public in collaboration with her while showcasing her gorgeous designs.

About This Fashion Film Production:

Tiger House Films has produced a creative fashion film for women’s high fashion designer Emily Daccarett. Ms. Daccarett is an exceptionally talented young designer with creative clothing concepts derived from her love of french culture. The inspiration for this film featuring her 2014 Spring / Summer collection, was derived from the past love affair between french icon Serge Gainsbourg and English actress Jane Birkin.

Tiger House Films worked with American Film Institute graduate and cinematographer Sara Ross-Samko as well as Tiger House Films Director and Cinematographer Nicola Pizzi for this production. Tiger House Films founder Jason Kent Carpenter is quoted as saying, “Our ultimate goal (with the fashion film) was to showcase Emily’s beautiful clothing designs but also to create a story arc that allows the audience to connect to these characters in a profound way.” Our belief is that our end product is a unique mix with hints of french new wave and a classic Californian aesthetic.

Fashion designer Emily Daccarett was involved throughout the process of creating this fashion film production. She was on set in our numerous locations with her clothing designs and supporting the actors and filmmakers while guiding the creation from start to finish. Emily was also involved in the creation of the song for this fashion film, having written the lyrics herself and singing on the original track “Je T’ai Aimé Dans Le Noir” in collaboration with composer S. Peace Nistades at Alkaloide Music Productions.

Tiger House Films is currently in pre-production for Emily’s Winter collection fashion film which will give us another wonderful opportunity to collaborate with this multi-talented women’s fashion designer.

About This Fashion Film Production:

Tiger House Films has produced our second creative fashion film for women’s high fashion designer Emily Daccarett. As we have seen throughout our working relationship, Ms. Daccarett has exceptional talent in many different creative fields and an eye for refinement. For this reason, it is always a pleasure to collaborate with Emily, who certainly knows what she wants and can communicate her ideas so effectively. Emily’s inspiration for this Fall / Winter collection film was sparked by a suggestion from her brothers that we produce a project in the style of the famous Jane Fonda Film “Barbarella”. This particular “B-movie” aesthetic fit incredibly well with the style and late 60’s era brought in to the modern age by Emily’s designs for her collection.

Tiger House Films  once again worked with American Film Institute graduate and cinematographer Sara Ross-Samko as well as Director and Cinematographer Nicola Pizzi for this production. With an array of visual effects and special effects mixed into this fashion film, our team was able to bring forth a psychedelic journey through space, with actress Sylvia Kochinski as our heroine. Our “Stylorella” encounters strange creatures and comical situations on an alien planet, culminating in a standoff with an omnipresent villan.

Fashion designer Emily Daccarett was once again involved throughout the process of creating this fashion film production. She was on set in our numerous locations with her clothing designs and supporting the actors and filmmakers while guiding the creation from start to finish. We would like to thank Emily for being there with us throughout the process no matter how difficult the desert terrain became or how long the production days went. We would also like to thank our dedicated crew for everything they did to make this project a success. Our thanks as well to composer S. Peace Nistades and Alkaloide Music Productions for bringing together an amazing original score for the film.

It was a great pleasure to see our Emily Daccarett F/W Collection Fashion Film open for her runway show at Mack Sennett Studios during L.A. Fashion Week.
