Performances: Lead actor Bradley Cooper narrates throughout the entire film and his transformation from loser to hero is enjoyable. He and lead actress Abbie Cornish have decent chemistry. Robert De Niro delivers an amusing performance, shining in a role that varies from his prior choices.

Visuals: Prepare for some fast footage of NYC that will have your stomach turning. Some additional computerized visual effects are corny.

Story: This action/ thriller requires you to suspend your disbelief for two hours. This is no Oscar best picture nominee. But if you don’t take it too seriously, it’s a really fun ride.
