In collaboration with Border X, the Tiger House Films commercial production team created a series of three fun spots highlighting the newest features in the world of automotive technology. Our Los Angeles production company was contacted by the Border X agency from Seoul, South Korea to work on these spots that filmed in several locations in Downtown Los Angeles.

We had several challenges that we overcame during this commercial including the need to re-create the concept vehicle in post production while shooting with two separate physical vehicles on set (one for the interior and one for the exterior). In order to make this workflow happen, our producing team set up a one day shoot in Seoul to capture the actual concept vehicles from Mobis, parts of the captured footage was used in the re-creation of features inside the cars through VFX.

Our team also utilized a volume stage with an LED wall to capture the driving scenes in these spots. We shot this automotive commercial production mainly inside of Orbital Studios  on their curved LED stage. This workflow provided us the flexibility to light the subjects evenly and avoid permitting streets with police escorts and lock-offs. Our director Matt Pollock and DP Matt Ryan teamed up to work in some humor while showcasing the different aspects of the vehicle technology.

The first commercial spot showcases the holographic HUD technology that is viewed on the windshield of the vehicle, the second spot showcases the “mood-centric” lighting features of the interior of the vehicle, and thirdly the final spot showcases the 90 degree wheel turn technology for parallel parking in tight spots. All have a magical element to make the spots fun and light.

In one of our several collaborations with Shark Ninja, the Tiger House Films production team created a new TV commercial production for the new Speedstyle Pro Flex Hair Dryer System. This commercial spot highlights the compact nature of the new Shark hair dryer while also integrating VFX to enhance the multiple features of the product in a fun, short and sweet TV spot for the brand.

This TV commercial production project called for several advanced filming techniques including motion control with a robotic arm for repeat motion shots in tight spaces as well as the need for VFX integration with live action. We utilized three talent with different hair types to showcase the versatility of the Spreedstyle Pro Flex, as well as it’s various attachments and accessories.

Our Los Angeles commercial production team was able to put this project together in a short period of time by utilizing our connections with gear houses in the Los Angeles area and talented local crew members. The production was shot over the course of two days in a private home in Calabasas. Our technical production team did an extensive amount of prep when it came to programming shots with the motion control robot and pre-lighting each of the scenes.

Our Director Of Photography Fiorella Occhipinti for this shoot is a specialist when it comes to beauty and fashion shoots and our team was fortunate to work with her crew to create a unique set of shots under challenging conditions. We also teamed up with ARRI cameras who were kind enough to give us an Alexa 35 rig to work with on this shoot.

In our first collaboration with IWG, the Tiger House Films production team created a national commercial production for the McDonald’s Chicken Big Mac starring Randall Park and Hudson Yang. This series of national commercial spots brought together the former “Fresh Of The Boat” TV Series stars to promote the limited time Chicken Big Mac at McDonald’s nationwide.

Our Los Angeles commercial production team brought on director Matt Pollock to spearhead the creative on this comedic branded production. Matt’s previous credits include being a Cannes Award-winning director, as well as a four-time Webby, Telly, and Lovie winner. Matt spent his early days honing his craft as a director for CollegeHumor where he helped shape internet sketch comedy directing and editing over 500 sketches while simultaneously moving on to TV and Commercials.

Our national commercial production for the Chicken Big Mac was shot at the famed McDonald’s production center in the City of Industry, CA. Our production team had one prep day and one shoot day to capture all the content for several versions of the advertisement which also included several Asian languages in post and different aspect ratios. The production went smoothly and we were able to capture some hilarious content between the two stars, which turned out to be comedy gold, especially in the improvised takes.

Currently a version of the spot is visible on the big screen in Times Square, NY and online on the official McDonald’s Youtube channel. We are looking forward to future collaborations with IWG and McDonald’s and are very happy with our current successful national commercial production and collaboration.

The Tiger House Films production team was contacted by Wild Card Creative Group to produce and execute the Power Choice Awards, starring one of the cast members, LaToya Tonedeo. The TV series co-creator and executive producer is the rapper, 50 Cent.

The Power Choice Awards is an awards show on Starz social media that was streamed live on YouTube. The winners were decided from the fans’ votes on the show’s official website. The awards was hosted by LaToya Tonodeo, who plays Diana Tejada in Power Book II: Ghost. The actors who played the characters appeared on screen to accept their awards. At the end, Starz showed a clip from the sixth episode of Ghost’s fourth season.

This awards show video production was shot on a volume stage in Los Angeles (SV Studios) with a collage of LED panels behind the host that held interchanging graphics and winner photos as each of the categories was announced. Our video production team shot on two RED Komodo X cameras, one on a dolly and another on a jib arm in order to get the most variety out of the coverage. Our Los Angeles production company was able to put this project together within a very short time frame for the clients, who expected high quality within budget.

In our second collaboration with the Shark / Ninja brand, Tiger House Films has had the pleasure of working with Shark/Ninja once more to create a dynamic kitchen appliance commercial production for their newly designed soda machine, the Ninja Thirsti 2.0. Drink System which transforms water into thousands of flavored still and carbonated soda water drinks at the touch of a button. Our commercial team was given just two weeks to produce this project which includes some complex production needs such as production design, motion control and vfx.

As in all kitchen appliance commercial productions, the production design had to be very precise due to the fact that there are plenty of close-up shots that are needed to feature the product and the drinks this particular soda machine produces, all in high definition. Our brand commercial team had the pleasure of working with an incredible drink stylist, David Probasco who was able to create some amazing effects for the probe lens and closeup shots of the drinks.

The location for this kitchen appliance commercial production was a private home in Ladera Heights, the owner of the home is a producer, which aided in the location being the perfect fit for our branded project. Logistically everything fit very well and our creative team / clients were comfortable as well as the aesthetic of the kitchen being an exact fit and look for the design of the product itself.

For this project, our commercial production company worked with a motion control robot, namely the Bolt Jr. which was acquired through the Los Angeles vendor Camera Control. Our repeat motion shots gave this commercial a unique and modern look.

It tells the stories of four immigrants to the U.S. pursuing and achieving their dreams and aspirations. This impactful spot tells the story of countless hardworking people who come to this country to establish their legacies.

This national commercial production was created for the New York Life Insurance Brand and aimed at shedding light on the first generation immigrant demographic. The storylines evoke the spirit of people coming to this country with determination to create a life despite the many challenges of assimilating to a foreign culture.

Our brand media production team was able to capture this national commercial over the course of two full production days, in the Los Angeles area. We utilized a home location and neighborhood in Mar Vista as well as several areas on the Woodbury University campus in Burbank, CA.

For this project, our commercial production company teamed up once again with Plan C to create a high quality branded production for a long standing client. Our commercial production house had the pleasure of executing another project with this partner on time and within budget, utilizing the latest in cinema technology and advanced cutting edge gear to achieve not only a powerful story but also establishing a professional look to the spot.

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of producing an celebrity video production in Los Angeles with the iconic Jane Fonda x Nalleli Cobo for Christie’s at the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills.

Our video production team in Los Angeles was contacted by Christie’s to film an event entitled Art For A Safe And Healthy California, which was a star studded evening with a benefit exhibition and auction presented by Jane Fonda, Gagosian, and Christie’s to support Campaign for a Safe and Healthy California.

Some artworks were donated by artists including Charles Gaines, Frank Gehry, Alex Israel, Nathaniel Mary Quinn, Catherine Opie, Christina Quarles, Ed Ruscha, Jonas Wood, among others, will be sold to help the coalition of voters campaigning to stop oil companies attempting to repeal Governor Gavin Newsom’s SB1137 on the November ballot. The bill provides safe setbacks from oil wells for homes, parks, schools, and playgrounds, as well as requirements to make already pumping wells safer.

Our small commercial production team has quite a lot of experience in run and gun situations and this production certainly called for improvisation due to the nature of the schedule and coordination with the gallery. Our gracious producer from Christie’s has great patience as we did our best to get the best production value possible out of this video production in Los Angeles.

Shot on two Alexa Mini’s, this project was certainly a heavy lift for this type of gear however the quality of the images certainly makes up for the bulk of these packages. This was our first time inside Gagosian Gallery and our video production team members were absolutely impressed by the artwork displayed at the gallery and event.
