Creative agencies in Los Angeles are numerous and come in many different forms and flavors. Some are geared more toward infomercials, some for high end television and web commercials, and others for live events. How do brands choose which creative agency in Los Angeles is right for them?

1) The first thing that we advise brand partners to do is to view the creative agency’s showreel. The aesthetic and overall feel of this edited compilation of the agencies’ work will give the brand partner an overall idea of the quality of work that is produced by the creative team. Viewing a creative agencies work also allows the brand to visualize if a particular creative team is capable of matching the quality of what they are trying to achieve in their campaign. 

2) Secondly, the brand should set up a phone conversation with the agency head. This conversation will give the brand an idea of how easy it is to work with a particular creative team. The brand should ask questions like; what is your usual budget range? What similar brands have your worked with in the past? Do you have any specialties as a creative agency Los Angeles?

The overall vibe the head of an agency gives off will reflect in the professionalism and workflow of his or her team. This conversation will also establish wether or not a brand will want to work with this creative agency for the long haul and if cultures / personalities mesh.

3) Third, a discussion should be had regarding particular concepts vs. budget ranges. Every brand and campaign has a particular amount allocated for a specific concept. The creative agency should work with the brand to come up with a concept that technically matches their budget range for the project. Generally the brands want the most creative possible concept for a specific budget range and the agency is able to break down the technical aspects of each project, line item by line item until the pre-production process is complete and ready for execution.

About Our Fashion Brand Film Production:

This fashion brand film production was created as a result of inspiration to create imagery of wild rebellious American youth in urban industrial Los Angeles.

Teaming with fashion designer Emily Daccarett, our fashion film and commercial production team was able to execute an idea derived from an edgy conceptual approach. Our goal was to ultimately showcase her designs and accessories while telling the story of the aftermath of a jewelry store robbery by our by two young new recruits to a gang of hardened thieves.

Shot in a Chinatown warehouse, our production team fully utilized the space, adding production design and smoke effects to create a moody atmosphere inside the raw space. Our main models for this production were Katherine Rodriguez and Eugene Huriev. The stunt performer / actor was Rage Stewart.

All of our models made this production memorable. It was our production team’s first time to work with Katherine and Eugene and they were both incredible to collaborate with on this fashion brand video production. Rage is a veteran biker with the ability to play in great character as well as perform burnouts on his motorcycle.

This fashion brand film project will be on the festival circuit in the coming months and our commercial production team looks forward to it’s worldwide release this year. Our fashion films and commercials are a passion for us and we look forward to our next collaboration with Emily.

About Our Istanbul Fashion Fest 2016 Official Selection

Our fashion brand film entitled “Only Ones” created for high end women’s fashion designer Emily Daccarett, has been selected to screen at the Istanbul Fashion Festival on Nov.27th, 2016. The Istanbul Fashion Fest is Istanbul’s one and only fashion film festival showcasing a selection of works from across the globe, presenting an international competition, talks, masterclasses, lectures, workshops and parties. The festival is sponsored by ELLE Türkiye and Mercedes-Benz among others.

The fashion brand film “Only Ones” was directed by Tiger House Films founder Jason Kent Carpenter and is our 5th collaboration with high end women’s fashion brand Emily Daccarett.  Her Spring / Summer 2016 line had a classic Southern California surfer/skater theme mixed with high end luxury fabrics and bright colors. Our motivation to create this film was Malibu and Venice Beach surfer culture in the 1970’s where being free and expressive was a part of the iconic backdrop of the era.

This film was shot over two days in multiple locations including the iconic Gesner Beach House, built by famed Malibu architect Harry Gesner whose designs are found in many Southern California locations including the Getty Museum. Our cinematography for the project included surfing scenes with underwater camera work, car mount shots,  as well as skating shots captured on steadicam. While technically challenging, our team was able to create a story and aesthetic matching the original concept of Emily’s SS16 collection.

We are lucky to have a long standing relationship with womenswear brand Emily Daccarett and we look forward to our next fashion film collaboration in the near future. Dynamic creative collaborations with designers and brands are the reason Tiger House Films is able to thrive in a complex global industry.

About This Fashion Film Production:

In our 5th collaboration with high end women’s fashion brand Emily Daccarett, Tiger House Films created a fashion film for her Spring / Summer 2016 line. The theme for this season was a surfer/skater look mixed with high end luxury fabrics and bright colors. Our motivation to create this film was Emily’s view on Venice beach surfer culture in the 1970’s where being free and expressive was a part of the iconic backdrop of the era.

This fashion film was shot in Malibu, California in multiple locations including the famous Gesner Beach House off of Pacific Coast Highway. Our production team’s goal was to create a film shot with all natural light to allow for a high fashion but raw sporty aesthetic mixed with pink and orange afternoon sunsets.

Mike Mcmillin was the director of photography on this production. Hailing from Long Beach CA, Mike has a background in capturing surfer and skater culture through his lens and brought his experience to the table during our fashion film shoot. Kenny Zhao created the song / score for this film entitled “Only Ones”. This creative composer was incredibly in tune with our theme and was able to provide amazingly impactful music to our visuals while also providing vocals on his track.

We were once again very privileged to work with Emily Daccarett on her fashion film and had a great time putting this fashion film production together for her brand.

About This Fashion Film Production:

Tiger House Films has produced a creative fashion film for women’s high fashion designer Emily Daccarett. Ms. Daccarett is an exceptionally talented young designer with creative clothing concepts derived from her love of french culture. The inspiration for this film featuring her 2014 Spring / Summer collection, was derived from the past love affair between french icon Serge Gainsbourg and English actress Jane Birkin.

Tiger House Films worked with American Film Institute graduate and cinematographer Sara Ross-Samko as well as Tiger House Films Director and Cinematographer Nicola Pizzi for this production. Tiger House Films founder Jason Kent Carpenter is quoted as saying, “Our ultimate goal (with the fashion film) was to showcase Emily’s beautiful clothing designs but also to create a story arc that allows the audience to connect to these characters in a profound way.” Our belief is that our end product is a unique mix with hints of french new wave and a classic Californian aesthetic.

Fashion designer Emily Daccarett was involved throughout the process of creating this fashion film production. She was on set in our numerous locations with her clothing designs and supporting the actors and filmmakers while guiding the creation from start to finish. Emily was also involved in the creation of the song for this fashion film, having written the lyrics herself and singing on the original track “Je T’ai Aimé Dans Le Noir” in collaboration with composer S. Peace Nistades at Alkaloide Music Productions.

Tiger House Films is currently in pre-production for Emily’s Winter collection fashion film which will give us another wonderful opportunity to collaborate with this multi-talented women’s fashion designer.

The 2013 Tiger House Films Los Angeles Film and Television Production Company Reel contains a compilation of projects produced by our company. These projects include Narrative Films, Television Productions, Music Videos, Commercials and Live Performances and Web Videos. Every one of these projects was unique and presented different challenges but in the end our results were amazing and the process was incredibly enjoyable for everyone on the film crew.

Whether we are in a studio shooting a green screen commercial, at a music venue recording a live performance, or on location shooting a film, our film and television production company’s ability to adapt to every set environment allows us to achieve the most professional and dynamic results.  The Tiger House Films team has extensive real-life experience in the industry. This experience allows us to troubleshoot any situation that may (and most certainly will) arise during any stage of film or television production. As we say there is no substitute for learning by doing but our ability to solve those problems is what gives us the edge.

Our Los Angeles production company is unique in the sense that we as a team bring an artistic film making approach to all of our projects. There is much to be said about this approach due to the fact that many would consider for instance, commercials, to blandly cater to mass audiences. Contrarily, we believe that there is a way to create video projects which are universally aesthetically pleasing with a strong message about the product without losing refinement within the end result.

Our creativity as a film and television production company crosses over into the world of music videos, where we believe visuals and style are most important, and film, where story is king. Jason Kent Carpenter’s film “Agent 6” has won the Golden Ace Award at the Las Vegas Film Festival! This is the eighth film festival award for Agent 6 which has been on it’s festival run since March of 2011. Agent 6 screened on Saturday, July 21 at 6:10 pm  in the Las Vegas Hilton Theater to a packed audience. the red carpet was great along with all the informative panels that were hosted by filmmakers from around the world.

A quote from “Agent 6” filmmaker Jason Kent Carpenter: “The atmosphere in Las Vegas is one that I have never experienced before. There seems to be an electricity in the air here and I was very fortunate to have my film screen in such an exciting and unique city.”

The Las Vegas International Film Festival is Las Vegas’ premiere film event taking place annually in the heart of the entertainment capital of the world. Dedicated to showcasing the finest American and international cinema the world has to offer, their mission is to bridge the gap between independent film audiences and filmmakers, as well as to connect emerging filmmakers with established industry professionals.

Film production company Tiger House Films showcases a period action film project Dark Roads, written and directed by Tiger House Films founder Jason Kent Carpenter. Set in the 1970’s, Dark Roads tells the story of Paul Sansone, a mob recruit who perilously falls in love with a Russian woman trafficked for the sex trade. The film debuted at Young Cuts film festival In Montreal and was also screened in LA and New York as an official selection at the Bel-Air & Williamsburg International film festivals among others. Dark Roads employed professional stuntmen such as Eric Marche (known for work on big budget films such as Transformers), the special effects company Synapse FX, and armorers from ISS Prophouse who handled live ammunition from vintage handguns and a tommy gun.

Shot with two RED One cameras, the majority of the Dark Roads film production was filmed in the warehouse district of downtown Los Angeles, next to the L.A. river. this area is known for having a gritty urban industrial aesthetic and has been used for many fashion, commercial, television shoots and featured in films such as Chinatown (1974) and Grease (1978).

“Dark Roads” received formal distribution through the film Distributor Indie Media Entertainment (IME), one of the first independent film distributors to bring video-on-demand rentals to mobile devices like the iPhone and iPad. Indie Media Entertainment discovered “Dark Roads” in the marketplace at the Palm Springs film festival and licensed the film.

Tiger House Films is happy to announce that Jason Kent Carpenter’s film production “Agent 6”  is now globally live and available for download on iTunes!

Tiger House Film’s secret agent film production is being distributed by the largest short film distributor in the world, Shorts International which is based in London, England. Shorts International has a partnership with Apple to bring the highest quality films to the global community via iTunes as well as their own television network called Shorts TV, which screens high quality short films 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

“Agent 6” is earmarked on Shorts TV for September’s “Secret Agent” Programming to coincide with the James Bond “Skyfall” film release, happening September 2012. While having an incredible festival run, obtaining distribution at the Hollyshorts Festival was icing on the cake for our film. The dedicated crew and cast are the reason for the film’s success.

“Agent 6” has been accepted into the “Las Vegas International Film Festival” in the heart of Las Vegas beginning in July of 2012.  Our film was one of only 39 films selected to screen at the festival from among hundreds of films submitted from over 30 countries around the world.

On Friday, July 20th the festival will kick off the films with their Opening Night Premiere film.  There will be a Red Carpet Arrival with photographers and press in attendance.  The red carpet press line begins at 7:00 pm.

“Agent 6” screens Saturday 6:10pm July 21st at the Las Vegas Hilton Theater, If any of you are in Vegas that weekend please join us and come check it out! The festival will take place July 19-22 at the world famous Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. Top prizes for the Best of Category winners will be announced and presented at the closing night awards ceremony.
