Los Angeles production company Tiger House Films has teamed with the GRAMMY Office once again to cover a professional video production interview with hip hop legend LL Cool J in promotion of his new collaborative album which includes tracks with the who’s who of music industry icons spanning many different genres. Tiger House Films Founder Jason Kent Carpenter and GRAMMY video content producer Ben Lamb worked in conjunction with the Tiger House Films team to create another cinematic video production interview at The Television Center in the heart of Hollywood’s studio district.

LL Cool J began the interview detailing the process of creating his upcoming album, aptly named Authentic. LL’s professionalism was apparent from the beginning of the interview as he greeted us all politely and even spoke about the details of the space as we set up. Having been on major television productions for many years, LL was completely comfortable and eloquent speaking in front of the camera which allowed us to conduct a very smooth video production and also gave us many options in post production editing.

During the video production, LL spoke in detail about the process of creating such a unique and collaborative piece of work with artists such as Eddie Van Halen, Brad Paisley, Earth Wind And Fire and Snoop Dog Just to name a few. He also spoke of the early years of his career and how he was discovered by Rick Rubin and Russell Simmons in the 1980s. It was a pleasure for the Tiger House Films video production team to have had the opportunity to film LL Cool J and we would like to thank his team for being so gracious.

About This AMC First Look Series With Echosmith:

Los Angeles production company Tiger House Films has created a branded video production with pop band Echosmith for AMC’s First Look Series sponsored by Glade and the GRAMMYS. This branded video production is currently showing on the big screen before feature films in select AMC theaters nationwide. Echosmith, performing their new single “Bright”, is a popular young band with an extremely positive outlook on life and music. The band is composed of four siblings: Graham, Sydney, Noah, and Jamie Sierota. Echosmith signed to Warner Bros. Records in May 2012 and has since gone platinum with their hit song “Cool Kids”.

The AMC First Look Series is a new entertainment marketing program from NCM (National CineMedia) which will give moviegoers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at recording artists and their creative process. Glade has signed on as the exclusive launch partner for the NCM program from its premiere through March 5, 2015. This new Glade brand creative will also feature a nod to music and inspiration through the GRAMMY brand. Our Los Angeles production company has worked extensively with some of the biggest brands in the commercial world and our success has allowed us to build relationships with these companies that come back to us time and again.

This branded video production was a multi-cam shoot with two separate elements. A performance piece by Echosmith and an interview style setup that allowed us to intercut their new hit “Bright” with their take on the message behind their music. Glade candles were placed throughout the branded video to allow for a more intimate feel and also hi-light the sponsor. All of our camera work and sound was shot within six hours of arrival at the studio and post production was also delivered on time through the GRAMMY office.

Los Angeles production company Tiger House Films has worked with the GRAMMY office once again to bring you a pre-show interview with the Black Keys back stage at the newly renovated Forum in Inglewood CA. The new owners of the Forum, who also run New York’s Madison Square Garden, have given the venue a major overhaul, bringing back a lot of the glamour and its 1960s red paint job.

In our Los Angeles production company’s interview, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney of 57th GRAMMY nominees the Black Keys discuss why they’re committed to making full-length albums and the creative process for 2014’s Turn Blue, which is nominated for Best Rock Album. From the very beginning the way that both Dan and Patrick entered the room our production crew could tell that these musicians had been on a long road to gain their place on the throne as rock superstars. Having come from humble beginnings in the town of Akron Ohio, Dan and Patrick had given their heart and soul to their music. Even when success seemed like a distant possibility these two kept at it because it was “literally all they knew” and what they were born to do.

There was no entourage during the interview, no hovering manager (she was a lovely person). The Black Keys gave it to us straight and with no frills and answered all the questions in a frank and honest way. It was refreshing for our production crew to hear real people speak about real life and humble beginnings. Our Los Angeles production company would like to say thank you once again to Ben Lamb and Drew Hinze of the GRAMMYS for allowing us to come in and do the interview for the Recording Academy.

About Our Los Angeles Music Video Production:

Tiger House Films was approached by the manager of the Raw Fabrics to create a music video production for the indie band here in Los Angeles. Their concept was to create a performance video inside a raw warehouse, with the band performing in front of a large banner with their track’s name printed on it. The lighting and camera movements were set up to convey a chaotic, high energy feel to the coverage to match the tempo and vocals of the song.

This music video production was directed by Jack Mascolo, the lead singer of the Raw Fabrics. The collaboration relied heavily on conceptual meetings and the interaction between Jack and our Director of Photography, Martin Moody. Production design for the music video was created to the specifications of the band and guided by their creative direction. The shoot took place over one day in downtown Los Angeles inside a raw warehouse space.

Tiger House Films produced the video from pre-production through post. The final picture edit was created by Jack Mascolo. The Raw Fabrics are a Los Angeles based trio. Since first forming in 2013, they have one critically acclaimed EP to their name, 2014’s Gold Handcuffs, and they’ve shared the stage with the likes of Alt-J and Weezer. “Dead Instruments” is from their follow up EP, “Plastic Joy”. The band can be seen live, headlining the Roxy on August 18th, 2015.

Our Los Angeles production company has teamed with the GRAMMY Office once again to cover a professional video production with GRAMMY nominated music artist Charli XCX. The Tiger House Films team interviewed Charli XCX before a live concert performance at the historic Mayan Theater in Downtown Los Angeles.

Charli XCX began the interview speaking about her experiences creating her album “Sucker” off of which the song “Fancy”  has been nominated at the GRAMMY awards for record of the year. She also spoke about her influences growing up as an artist and how she was very much affected by the 1998 music video for Britney Spears’ “Hit Me Baby One More Time”. The interview also covered Charli’s collaboration with Iggy Azalea on their GRAMMY-nominated hit.

Our Los Angeles production company utilized a very fast paced production method where our lights, cameras and sound were set up within 45 minutes of arrival to the Mayan Theater. Because the artist had a limited amount of time for our interview, our video production team was incredibly efficient in capturing the necessary moments to create an in-depth video about Charli and her current achievements.

Charli XCX was very gracious and down to earth in her interview and her genuine passion for her craft was apparent in the way she spoke about her life and road to becoming a GRAMMY nominated artist. Our production crew wishes her the best and hopes to work with her again in the future.

His debut single “Lost In My Memories” is a mix of ethereal vocals by the artist Gio and laid back electronic beats. Shot entirely on location, our Los Angeles music video production company kept a minimal crew allowing for maximum mobility during the music video’s multiple production days.

Our Los Angeles production company has worked with independent artists in the past and this was a particularly great experience due to the people involved and great support for this up and coming artist and musician. Our music video production team shot over a period of two days with great talent. This music video features actress, model and singer Hailey Johnson and actor Zach Dulin as characters separated by time and space yet linked together by their memories of each other.

Creative music video projects allow our production team to showcase our ability to create beautiful cinematography along with our discipline to work within strict budgets and timelines. This particular music video had several restrictions in terms of time and the scope of the project. Our LA production company utilized our experience and called in favors in to give the client the best possible product to showcase as Skarfy’s debut single launches.

In May 2014 Los Angeles production company Tiger House Films created a music video production with Angolan singer Yola Araujo who is considered one of the big names in Angolan music. This music video entitled “My Baby” was shot, directed and edited by DJ Marcell. Our production team supported the artist in multiple locations throughout the downtown and Santa Monica areas on a very tight timeline as the artist and director were only in town for 5 days. Tiger House Films was able to procure permits, insurance, locations, equipment, hotel and transportation as well as a production crew within a very short period of time.

Music video productions are always interesting due to their artistic nature. Our music video production team gets excited at the prospect of creating and producing something new each time as well as the unique mixing of artistic genres such as music and film. Yola and her team were very interested in certain landmark locations throughout the Los Angeles area. Our extensive production experience allowed us to pinpoint these locations that fit the aesthetic needs of the artist and director’s vision.

This song is written and performed by Yola in her native tongue, Portuguese. It is also the official language of her home country of Angola. We were instantly attracted to her song “My Baby” and her uncanny ability as an artist to bring that universal appeal to her music. About This Hyundai Centerstage Video Series:

In collaboration with the GRAMMY office and Greenlight Media & Marketing, Los Angeles production company Tiger House Films has produced The Hyundai Centerstage Video Series Powered by the GRAMMY Amplifier. Directed and Edited by Jason Kent Carpenter, This video series follows the three winners of the Hyundai Centerstage competition as they claim their prizes as up and coming artists.

The competition, curated by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, provides each winner with a unique prize. The three prizes were; a studio session and mentorship with GRAMMY winning producer Tricky Stuart and GRAMMY nominated producer Soundz, a music video by the professional directors of Walter Robot, and an opportunity to open for Switchfoot at their music festival, The BroAm.

Our video production team followed the three winners as they claimed their prizes over a period of three months. We initially followed Phillip Magnus Harlty the winner of the studio session. Second we followed Erich Lennig of the Barnaby Saints as he claimed the music video prize, then finally We recorded Gentlemen Hall as they opened at the BroAm Festival in Encinitas, CA.

About Our International Music Video Production:

In 2014 Los Angeles production company Tiger House Films created two music video productions with Angolan singer Yola Araujo. This video entitled “Nunca Mais” was our second collaboration with the artist who sings in her native tongue, Portuguese, which is the official language of her home country, Angola. This music video was once again shot, directed and edited by DJ Marcell, a talented music video and commercial director from Africa. DJ Marcell tours the world to direct videos in unique locations for artists based mostly from different countries in Africa.

For this Los Angeles production, our music video production team was able to procure talent, equipment, crew, locations and permits to shoot in downtown Los Angeles, SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, as well as several locations in West Hollywood. Our Los Angeles commercial, film and video productions are all created within a precise timeline and have the highest aesthetic quality. For this music video we were on a tight schedule therefore our equipment had to be lightweight and portable. We were able to shoot 4k video on the Panasonic GH4 and carried compact sliders as well as a portable dolly for stabilized camera movement.

Having experience in production specifically in the Los Angeles area allows our LA production company to create professional projects that run smoothly from beginning to end. Los Angeles production company Tiger House Films has filmed a run and gun interview with GRAMMY video content producer Ben Lamb for GRAMMY.com with the Rock Band 30 Seconds To Mars at their Hollywood Hills home. Our interview production took place days before frontman Jared Leto won the golden globe for best supporting actor in Dallas Buyers Club and ahead of the 86th Academy Awards on March 2 — for which Leto won Actor in a Supporting Role.

Leto and his band mates discussed the making of their latest album, Love Lust Faith + Dreams, the state of the music industry and the importance of their award-winning documentary Artifact, among other topics. As we got set up in their home, Jared, Shannon Leto and Tomo Miličević came in and greeted us. Their space had a very laid back but edgy rock star quality to it which reflected their personalities to a T. Extremely friendly but with strong personalities, all three of them gave us a sense that their success was no fluke.

This GRAMMY interview gave us an insight into the 30 Seconds To Mars documentary Artifact, and the struggles the band went through in their career to get to where they are now. The idea of how passionate and resilient musicians have to be to battle the state of the industry really opened our eyes and allowed us to peer behind the curtain if only for a short time.

As an independent Los Angeles production company, we have a certain empathy for artists who wish to create but also make a living at the same time. We wish the best of luck to all members of 30 Seconds To Mars and also wish them well on their journey moving forward.
