Our work on the Puss in Boots: The Last Wish | Feature Film Promo Video:
Our Los Angeles video production team was contacted by IMAX and DTS parent company XPeri to produce a feature film promo video for the Puss In Boots The Last Wish by Dreamworks Entertainment. This particular production was an episode of DTS Craft Masters. In the content of the video, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Director Joel Crawford and other key creative contributors are interviewed. They share how DTS:X helped deliver a movie that’s as unique sonically as it is visually.
Our team learned quite a bit while filming this feature film promo video including how sound and music create an immersive environment for the film’s audience. Certain auditory cues such as the “Wolf’s Whistle” in the film indicated danger nearby, as well as the absence of sound being another tool the filmmakers utilized to create an effect of tension in the storyline.
The experience shooting this project was a great one, our video production team filmed on the Warner Brothers lot where the film was mixed and screened in a state of the art theater worthy of a studio production. Interviewing the directors and sound team of the film allowed us insight on the collaborative aspect of creating a final feature film product as well. The production team working together in sync is just as important as the skill and technical ability each individual brings to the table.
Our production company hopes to collaborate with Xperi again to film more feature film promotion video productions in the near future.
