About Royal Enfield x Our Commercial Production Company:
Royal Enfield teamed with our commercial production company to create the international spot for their new 2019 V-twin motorcycle. This commercial was the second of two international commercial productions we created for Royal Enfield in conjunction with Storytellers.in from Mumbai, India. The spot for the brand new V-twin was produced over 5 days all over California with the team from our high end commercial production company.
As the second of the two commercial productions for Royal Enfield, this spot was focused on the California lifestyle of surfing and outdoor activities. Our commercial was shot on PCH in Malibu as well as Pismo Beach and parts of Downtown Los Angeles. We utilized an edge vehicle with a Russian arm to capture stunts on the sand in Pismo Beach as well as precision riding in the hills of Malibu.
Two different types of Drones were utilized heavily on the sand and over the water in Pismo Beach to capture aerial photography that was intercut with the on-the-ground coverage. Our Cinematographer Matthew Chuang utilized a multitude of different types of cameras for this commercial project, the Panavision DXL2, Panavised Alexa Mini, Phantom Flex, heavy lift / Inspire 2 Drone and mounted Gopros. An Edge vehicle and Motocrane were also used for the vehicle to vehicle precision riding shots through the water and hard packed sand.
The brand Royal Enfield is a very historic Indian motorcycle company with the distinction of being “the oldest global motorcycle brand in continuous production”. The first Royal Enfield motorcycle was created in 1901. Historically, the Enfield Cycle Company is responsible for the design and original production of the Royal Enfield Bullet, the longest-lived motorcycle design in history.
This international motorcycle commercial production was a true challenge for our commercial production company on many levels. Ultimately, the end results were incredible, which made the journey worth it.
